Enviable Emulsions
Learn or improve emulsions for
bath and body/personal care products

That moment when I pour the oil phase into the water phase and the oils and other ingredients combine with the water to form a milk-like liquid. It’s like magic. And, more than that, it feels like pure luxury on my skin and helps moisturize it. Sure, it’s all science, but the feeling of success is magical.

I described making lotion but it is not the only emulsion. Nearly any cosmetic with a water base is an emulsion. Hair conditioner, liquid shampoo, liquid make-up and more, the list of emulsion based cosmetics is unending.

While all the entries were and are incredibly beautiful the treatment of the base with mica lines and "earth" layers pushed it over the edge for me into overall winner.
